Its rulers have succeeded in making Dubai into a worldwide brand, publicizing its astonishing hotels and leisure opportunities while at the same time successfully downplaying its complex policies towards guest workers and suppression of dissent.

Research Assistance "Citation Styles"
Citation Styles
Different citation techniques are used in different scenarios. American Psychological Association (APA) is an academic formatting style. This is a format that provides assistance for submission of different papers mainly for social and behavioral sciences. It helps the professionals in the academic writings.
Another technique used for the liberal arts and humanities is called Modern Language Association (MLA). It provides guidelines for formatting manuscripts and producing English language. With the proper use of MLA, writers can be saved from any plagiarism. A complete guide of MLA is available in form of “MLA handbook of writers for Research papers”.
Chicago Manual of Style, also known as editor’s bible covers and assists sentence structures, conventions and documentation. It is identical to another style, Author-date system. This manual is primarily based on a style called “Turabian” citation style which follows the two CMS documentation patterns.
American Chemical Style (ACS) trademarks practicality. It focuses on team-based production of information by recording names of all the authors in the bibliography. It allows citation off the authors with the initials that is a practice ACS has introduced. Also it gives room to abbreviate the Journal titles that are longer than one word.
American Sociological Assistance (ASA) is a widely accepted formatting style appreciated for the sociology research papers. It is designed to aid the authors to formulate ASA publications and journals. It emphasis that all the references are included in the references section at the end of the journal rather than as cited in MLA style.

Description
Little
Princess
Little Princess is a book by Conor Grennan.
This book explains how the life of the author changes after deciding to bring
back the children from the orphanage. The life of the author changes as he had
other individuals that were involved with him which was not the case before he
had decided to bring them back.
In this chapter the author explains how the
children came to the place they were which the orphanage was,. It all happened
when a man who was well known due to his political position and power, promised
to take care of those children whose parents were poor. The politician promised to help those children
and save them from slavery, forced labor as well as joining rebel army. Since
the parents were poor, thy decided to give him that chance to offer them help.
They gave him their hope and trusted the man with their children. They came
together, collected, some money as appreciation to the politician but once he
got the money he ended up abandoning the children, forcing them to engage in
hard work as well as selling them.
The
boys at the orphanage and their caretakers spend most of their time on the roof
in order to gets some respite from the hot weather. On one such day they
observe a strange woman approach the orphanage, a woman who turns out to be
Krish and Nuraj’s mother. Connor and invite the woman into the orphanage and
subsequently she tells them about the history of her family and how they all
ended up at that place. She and her husband were forced to send the two boys
away to avoid them being conscripted by Maoist rebels, but the person they trusted
to do so turned out to be a child trafficker, and they lost their children who
later ended up at the orphanage.
Grennan,
who is in this case the author, took his time to trek through mountainous
areas, hoping to find the parents of the children alive in order to tell them
of what was going on. He trekked for long distances taking personal risks to
make certain that he met these parents and tell them of their children. This is
because of the pity he felt for the kids, having in mind that it was not right
for them to suffer as they were. He neither experiences lots of failures in his
struggling but is nor ready to give up. In his quest h eventually falls in love
but this does not make him forget his mission of finding the parents and
informing them of their children.
Conor tried to get the seven children to open up and play silly
games with him. He tried to brighten their
attitudes by taking their pictures (most of the children had not seen their own
faces before, it was a very exciting experience for them). But while the children were becoming more
playful, the political situation in Nepal grew worse. Conor and Farid rushed to find a home for the
seven children, but it was growing more hopeless.
Analysis
According to the chapter it is clear that the
author, Conor Grennan, is a very caring and loving individual. Conor shared his
original motivations and intentions for going to Nepal. All the activities
carried out by the author are mentioned in order to bring out the meaning and
help the readers understand the purpose of his actions, to bring life to how
his attitude toward helping the orphans had changed drastically. The book is
written in a very straight-forward tone, yet provides all the necessary
information about the children, the author, and their relationship. It also
provides additional information on the private life and thoughts of the author
which is not necessarily the main topic, but provides more insight as to why he
does the things he does. This is the reason why Little Princes is
referred to as an inspiring book.
This
part of the book is very emotional. The author manages to show the plight of
the people being mistreated by the Maoists to such a degree that it almost
feels as if the reader is experiencing it firsthand. The author paints a vivid
picture of the situation that allows the reader to appreciate the plight of the
poor peasants. The reader can also feel the pain felt by the parents,
especially after the boys’ father walks all the way to Kathmandu only to
realise that he has been duped and has lost his family.
Generally, the story in this book is touching
and uplifting, looking at the characteristics given to the author and how he
struggles overcoming challenges to accomplish his mission. It is as well a
refreshing story which tells of a young man who is out to look for adventure
and ends up finding maturity in the middle of his purpose. It is a story that
raises the spirit and reminds the readers about the capacity of joy and the
strength children have. It is also a story which tells how good deeds can be
drawn from a charitable act by an individual.

Developing My
Writing
I-
Introduction: Everyone should know how to write not just
read and listen. Our challenge as international students is how to write in
English, so my group and I are going to help you guys with steps that will help
all of you with your writing skills.
II-
Body:
Use a variety of writing sources. The sources can help you develop your writing skills, some are very
common and some you may have not even considered.
Use internet is
also another collective source of writing techniques, and they are not hard to
find.
Do some researches. This important step is necessary to give your
writing some added value for your readers. While it may not be the most fun
aspect of writing, it is something that every writer should be willing to do.
Whether you are a weekend book reviewer or a corporate speech writer, your
readers will certainly recognize your hard work and quality writing.
Develop confidence. If you don't have confidence there is no need to worry, it may be easier
to come by than you think. I always think one important thing to myself,
"I could have written that."
Take break if necessary, to combat stress. It helps to step away for
moment. Fresh air, a glass of water and cup of coffee cloud provide you with
approach to your writing.
Read as much as possible. Exposing yourself to what others have written
is a great tool. Read books, newspapers and magazines. This will help you with
style, sentence structure and word usage.
III-
Conclusion: Finally, I believe that if you put anything as
a goal for you can reach it there is nothing impassable in this life, we are
still learning how to write in English but hopefully in the end of this semester
we will be improving our skills so we can become good writers.

Little Princes by Conor Grennan "Review"
Little Princes by Conor Grennan "Review"
In the hunt of an adventure, 29-year-old Conor Grennan was able to switch his regular job for a year-long expedition around the world, a quest that started with a three-month stretch volunteering at an orphanage in the war-torn Nepal, Little Princes Children's Home. He was originally hesitant to volunteer, unsure if he had the proper expertise, or sufficient fervor, to get caught up in a budding country, in the center of a civil war. However he was before long conquered by the mass of rambunctious, simple children who would confront and recompense him in a manner that he had never anticipated. When he understood the unimaginable fact about their condition, he was astounded: The kids were not orphaned at all. The child traffickers were promising their families in distant villages to look after their kids from the war--for a vast fee--by taking them to a shelter. The traffickers then ditched the kids far from their homes, in the pandemonium of Kathmandu, Nepal's capital.
"Little Princes" is a true account of kids and families, as well as what one individual is capable of accomplishing when faced with apparently intractable chances. At turns sad, blissful, and very funny, "Little Princes" is a testimony to the influence of trust and the capability of love to see us past our expectations. When Conor felt accountable about spending a whole year globetrotting, he chose to devote three months of his time to volunteering. The incidents would be a life changing one for him. A number of the kids are sold into slavery, and a few are made professional beggars for the Fagin-like masters. While some are cast off to families no better capable to care for and guard them than their families. With several dumped in orphanages. The “orphans” Grennan met were regular kids who mostly with a loving family. It became his mission to attempt to reconnect the kids with their dear ones.
In truth, the book reads like a work of fiction, with a morsel of something for everybody. There is tension. Conor must dread for his existence as the Dickensian evildoers, for instance the politically allied child traffickers plus the Maoist rebels who do not like his meddling with their stealing of kids, front a steady danger. It is an adventure, as Conor, who is wounded at the start of the voyage, and a squad, hike the Himalayas trying frantically to locate families of his stray kids before the wintry weather starts. There is a story of moral support as this youthful middle-class westerner gets a mission to help kids in need in a far-flung, indigent territory. This is also accompanied by a modest investigation of religion.
However, mainly of all, it is a love tale. His affection for the kids set him on his life's novel path. In addition, he harbours adoration for the group of newfangled friends with whom he does share his labor, and at last, affection, for a lady he met via electronic mail as he is in Nepal, a lady he hopes will be his soul mate. Conor describes their imminent get-together of how he walks for twenty-seven hours in just two days to get away from the mountains, and meet up with a girl who has flown almost nine thousand miles for the visit. Not exactly a classic first date.

Little Princess "Comparison"
Little Princess "Comparison"
The story of a little princess is based on journey and experience little princess had, after the completion of his basic education he had traveled a long way from his home to enjoy his holidays via journey and experience the life of people in this part of the world which is only studied in his international relation subject.
The difference between journey and experience is like tea and coffee. A journey can be defined as an experience a person enjoys during travel with lots of unforgettable memories. The little princess was on his journey to Nepal where his first experience he saw was poverty and pollution. The long journey through a potholed road was her first experience which he saw in his life. But this was not the only journey he had experienced he had also seen the posh areas of Nepal when his car drove on Kathmandu rind road to the center of Kathmandu where his experience was slightly better when he saw paved roads and alongside the roads were different shops with variety of consumer commodities. Although he had chosen Nepal for her journey but he didn’t know that he will have a very bad experience in Nepal when he is going to visit a hospital in a very poor condition. But his journey ended within two days when he took a flight to Thailand. The night when he was about to prepare for his next journey he had to visit an orphan- age to look after the children. And his journey to the orphanage was an experience that he will never repeat. The two stories are basically two parts of his journey and experience when little princes had chosen to volunteer for this task.
